I have been activated! My notary commission is active (California). It's been active now for a couple of months but with school, summer, work, and visiting Florida I had a hard time finding time to share the good news.

I have yet to do my first notarization, but I also have not been marketing myself and my services. This is probably my "first marketing" strategy! Woooo for blogging! So if you or you know someone who needs notarization, let me know! I now can help notarize documents.

Nothing like life to throw you a couple life lessons to make you analyze your career and how it affects your life. I chose to become a notary because of the type of flexibility I can have when it comes to hours, money, and time. Most who know me, know that kids/family wasn't something I was rushing to and I still am not. However, life happens and you start to grow and change as people come and go from your life.

I got to thinking that if I ever wanted to let go of a 9-5 job to focus on my family what would I be able to do? and since I already do life insurances it seemed like the wise choice to try the notary industry. I like to do many things! The older I have gotten I realized that I want to work smarter and wiser, but also enjoy it. And I'm a people person. I love to talk. I love to get to know people. I love business. But most importantly I LOVE to HELP people and learn from the conversations I have with people.

What I'm going to work on next is to become a loan signing agent. A loan signing agent helps facilitate loan closings in the mortgage finance industry. I just purchased the course and hope to take the exam in the next 2 months but definitely before the end of the year. So wish me luck!
